I bought this set March 30, 2008 on a visit with my Boy Scout trip to the museum(amazing, by the way!). I was a little bummed about how pale the wood handles were, but I was assured that with time & frequent use, they would darken (the light wood is the only color for choice). I was also a little shy at the price of the knives, but also realized I was getting a real value for the simple fact that I was purchasing a product made right here in the USA by an amazing family.
I must tell you I am extremely satisfied with this lovely set. They have darkened with frequent use (as promised!) and they are still as sharp and beautiful as day one. I am very fastidious about making sure they never see a dishwasher. I loved the set so much, I gave it as a Christmas gift to my sister (she is very particular about knives, as she loves to cook, and she absolutely loves them!).
These knives hold their beauty & sharp edge. They have a simple, solid design to withstand constant use. They are lightweight & fit nicely in my hand.
If you hadn't noticed, I absolutely recommend any of these knives for your kitchen. Thank you for such a beautiful product!!
